Raymond W. Smock

Raymond W. "Ray" Smock (born February 8, 1941) is an American historian who has been serving as director of the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies at Shepherd University.^[1] He is a former Historian of the United States House of Representatives and also serves as president of the Association of Centers for the Study of Congress, and, starting in 2006, as a board member of the West Virginia Humanities Council and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.^[2]
